Hello, my name is Bill Burrows and
I am your VBProf. I am an emeritus faculty member in Information Systems in the
Foster School of Business at the University of Washington in Seattle. I have been teaching
programming for over 25 years using various versions of BASIC, Pascal, and Java.
You can learn more about my background in my
curriculum vitae.
In 2003 I started teaching courses in our Master's of Science in Information Systems
program. Because most of the student's in this program had full-time jobs, I decided
to experiment with creating instructional tutorials that were available over the
Internet. This would allow the students to view the material when they had the time
and not be locked into a specific schedule. Feedback from the students was very positive
and I have expanded this type of instruction over time.
I hope that you find the material helpful. My instructional style is very informal.
It is my hope that you will feel as if you are a student in one of my courses with
the videos acting like the classroom experience. |
